The European Film Academy has revealed the nominees in eight categories honouring the diverse crafts of filmmaking, including European Cinematographer.
Following the introduction of member chapters for each department this year, chapter members selected three nominations per category.
For European Cinematographer, these are:
- Manu Dacosse for The Stranger (L’Étranger)
- Fabian Gamper for Sound of Falling (In die Sonne Schauen)
- Mauro Herce for Sirāt
Gamper’s nomination comes shortly after his Silver Frog win at the 2025 EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival.
All Academy members will now vote to determine the winners, who will be announced at the European Film Awards ceremony on 17 January 2026 at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, Germany.
