Clear-Com brings IP-based and remote production solutions to MPTS 2022
Apr 19, 2022
Clear-Com will be in London May 11 – 12 for the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS), exhibiting their latest in broadcast, TV and Film production solutions and providing in-person person demonstrations on Booth #L450.
These industries have been shifting to AoIP workflows and are experiencing more remote production needs than ever before and Clear-Com is excited to showcase their solutions that meet these demands. Clear-Com will be demonstrating the new Arcadia Central Station, Station-IC Virtual Desktop Client, a new update of EHX for the Eclipse HX Digital Matrix platform, and an updated Trilogy Mentor SPG system, alongside trusted, award-winning products including FreeSpeak II Digital Wireless system, DX410 Digital Wireless, HelixNet Digital Network Partyline, LQ Series of IP Interfaces, and remote production “hero,” the Agent-IC Mobile App.
“Following the acquisition of BVE in 2019, MPTS has become the key UK Broadcast market show for us,” comments Clear-Com Director of Sales EMEA, Nicki Fisher. “With a dual focus on media production—an area where we are experiencing substantial growth, particularly in film and TV production—as well as our key broadcast customers, MPTS provides us access to a critically important audience.”
Featured at the booth will be the award-winning Arcadia Central Station, a scalable IP intercom platform that integrates wired and digital wireless partyline systems along with third-party Dante devices in a single rack unit. The system scales to meet varying production needs, offering a base level of 32 IP ports which can be expanded to up to 96 IP ports (and beyond in future releases) as needed. Truly a platform designed for future expansion, Arcadia integration with HelixNet Digital Partyline will be available for demonstration, with the update anticipated for release later this year.
The recently updated Trilogy Mentor SPG system, now with dual gigabit network ports for improved network connectivity, will also be featured. The Trilogy Mentor system generates test signals for video and audio and network timing signals for broadcast and other mission-critical system purposes to an extremely accurate time signature.
Station-IC, a new favorite among broadcast and media production users, will be available for demonstration as well. Station-IC is a virtual desktop client that provides a scalable intercom user station on WindowsOS and MacOS computers. Connecting to Eclipse HX IP-capable matrices or LQ IP Interfaces, Station-IC provides access to the system’s resources which can include one-to-one, one-to-many, partyline, ISO and IFB communication in addition to call signals and logic controls.
The Agent-IC mobile app and LQ IP interfaces have been long time success stories in broadcast for facilitating remote and IP-based workflows, and they are becoming more and more integral for TV and film production as well.
Filmmaker and Cinematographer, Vinit Borrison, recently commented, “We’ve been looking for a solution [LQ & Agent-IC] like this for a long time and I’ve now used it on various productions and am loving it. The system saves us time, saves us money, reduces overall infrastructure, allows for remote workflows, guarantees the safety of onset team members and much more.”
“We are thrilled to be coming back to tradeshows to connect with our Partners, end-users and potential new customers face-to-face. We have exciting new products to share with the industry and we have new ways of using our established products that we’re eager to share. Come and see us!” concludes Nicki.
