The 67th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express will take place 4-15 October. The annual festival is the UK’s premier celebration of cinematic storytelling and showcases a variety of innovative and exciting new films.
This will be the first festival led by new BFI festivals director Kristy Matheson, who joined the BFI from her recent role as creative director of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Matheson will also lead BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival from the 2024 edition.
Matheson takes over from Tricia Tuttle, who recently announced she was taking the role of acting head of department, directing fiction, at the National Film and Television School.
