The European Film Academy revealed the winners of the European Film Awards, honouring the best of European cinema. 1.000 international guests, nominees and presenters celebrated the winners in 22 categories during a festive ceremony at the KKL Luzern on the shores of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland.
Benjamin Kračun BSC took home the European cinematography award for The Substance.
With five awards (European Film, Director, Screenwriter, Actress and the Excellence Award for European Editing) Emilia Pérez was the winner with most awards. The European Film Awards are the most renowned and prestigious awards for European film. The celebration marked the sparkling highlight and conclusion of the Academy’s initiative Month of European Film that kicked off a month earlier.
The gala was streamed and broadcast live by 30 partners from 18 countries across Europe.
