
The winners of the BAFTA Cymru Awards, the biggest annual celebration of creative excellence across film and television in Wales, have been announced.
Among the victors was Stuart Biddlecombe BSC, who took home the Photography & Lighting Fiction Award for his work on Mr Burton, pipping Bryan Gavigan (A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story) and Sam Thomas (Until I Kill You) to the prize.
Lost Boys and Fairies was the biggest winner on the night, though, scooping five awards at this year’s ceremony – including Sion Daniel Young for Actor, Danielle Palmer for Editing, Daf James for Writer and James Kent for Director Fiction.
Biddlecombe’s Mr Burton and The Golden Cobra won two accolades each, with the former also triumphing in the Sound category.
Elsewhere, Luned Tonderai scooped Director Factual for Miriam: Death of a Reality Star and the team behind Mauled by a Dog won Short Film.
Meanwhile, writer, showrunner and producer Russell T Davies OBE was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award, presented by actress Ruth Madeley.
In total, 17 competitive awards in total were presented across the evening, as well as two BAFTA Special Awards.
