Todd Banhazl ASC is based in Los Angeles and known for his work in film, television, commercial, music video, and fashion.
His credits include the STX Entertainment feature Hustlers, for which he earned an Independent Spirit Award Nomination for Best Cinematography, and Amazon Studios’ Blow The Man Down, which was awarded Special Jury Award for Cinematography at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Banhazl most recently shot Adam McKay’s HBO/HBO Max sports-drama series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, which documents success of the Los Angeles basketball team in the 1980s. His camerawork earned him an ASC Award nomination for the episode “The Swan.” He previously earned an Emmy Award nomination for the episode “Pieces of a Man.”
Banhazl has photographed music videos for talent including Janelle Monae, Bruno Mars, Lorde, Muse, A$ap Rocky, The Strokes and The Smashing Pumpkins, as well as commercials for such globally recognised brands as Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Swiss Air, Delta Airlines, Tinder and Coca-Cola. He is also known for his work in fashion, often collaborating with designers including Donna Karen, Dior, Alexa Chung, Pandora, H&M and Zalando.
He is currently filming the second season of Winning Time.
