AC-ET Unveils Latest Lighting Solutions at IBC 2018

Sep 10, 2018
Chroma-Q Studio Force II 72, 48 and 12 models

The A.C. Entertainment Technologies stand at IBC 2018 will feature an array of specialist TV, Broadcast & Film lighting solutions and related services from leading brands.

Products showing include Chroma-Q’s new Studio Force II™ high intensity LED source and new Brute Force™ LED alternative to a traditional quarter ‘Wendy’ light; Quasar Science’s popular Q-LED Q-Rainbow linear LED light combining tuneable white light with RGB full colour-changing capabilities; RatPac’s AKS system for controlling lighting fixtures directly from a mobile phone, tablet, PC or DMX lighting console; and AC-ET’s Tourflex® Cabling in-house manufacturing service.

Chroma-Q®’s Studio Force II™ high intensity LED source will be making its IBC show debut. With optics that provide homogenised output, it produces tuneable whites with green/magenta shift, as well as full RGB for colour mixing. As a result, the second generation fixture provides yet greater control, with the capacity to render virtually any colour.

Also making its IBC show debut is Brute Force™, Chroma-Q’s new LED alternative to a traditional quarter ‘Wendy’ light, with a full colour RGB-W lamphead that draws just 15 amps @ 240V. Brute Force has been rigorously tested in a variety of ‘real world’ scenarios to ensure optimal functionality across a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. Robustly designed and fully dimmable, it has an extended CCT range between 2,000K and 10,000K. Utilising multiple Studio Force II fixtures, each unit features 96-way mappable pixel control with RDM, DMX and optional wireless operation.

Like Chroma-Q’s award-winning Space Force™ LED soft source, the Studio Force II and Brute Force excel where a quality of controllable output is required.

Quasar Science Q-Rainbow

Increasingly widely used in Film and Broadcast, the Quasar Science Linear LED Fixture range’s compact size, easy setup, superior quality colour and versatility makes it ideal for lighting actors or environments. The line-up includes the popular Q-LED X-Crossfade for tuneable white light, and the Q-LED Q-Rainbow, which combines tuneable white light with RGB full colour-changing capabilities.

RatPac’s AKS system uses LumenRadio’s award-winning CRMX wireless technology and allows users to control lighting fixtures directly from their mobile phone, tablet, PC or DMX lighting console. In addition, for light sources which are not LumenRadio compatible, RatPac’s Cintenna wireless receiver plugs directly into the back of the fixtures themselves and requires no extra rigging hardware.

AC-ET’s Tourflex® Cabling in-house manufacturing service makes high quality bespoke data, mains and multicore lighting cables. Fully tested to ensure that each assembly made in-house conforms to customers’ requirements, the service also holds significant component stocks so that it can turn round large orders rapidly and effectively. They supply specialist HMI, BAC, PowerSafe AC and a full range of power, data, lighting control, video, audio and rigging cables. Industry standard branded connectors, including Tourmate®, Socapex and Neutrik, are combined with raw cables from brands such as Tourflex® Datasafe™ and Datasafe Ultra™.
