BSC x LSA workshop to nurture budding cinematographers

Sep 15, 2022

Digital Orchard Foundation is working together with the British Society of Cinematographers and London Screen Academy to deliver a two-day workshop dedicated to the art of cinematography and camera work on 29-30 October. Some 75-100 people will be invited for a weekend of hands-on, practical training taught by those already working in the industry.

The workshop is intended to be a full overview of all roles within the cinematography departments and the initial skills needed to take on a camera trainee position, along with junior roles in camera, lighting, grip and related fields. Whether attendees want to work on film, television or commercial productions, the session aims to prepare them for a career on set.

In addition to the training, attendees will have access to industry and peer networking opportunities, building a supportive industry community for them to start their career.

Additional workshops in 2023 will cover in more detail cinematography, camera operation, camera assistance, grip, lighting, and digital imaging, colour and post

Find out more details on the workshop through its Eventbrite page.
