Godox has introduced the PaletteLab colour engine, which delivers a “full-spectrum performance across the entire visible wavelength range”.

“More than a simple combination of light sources, it’s a complete spectral solution engineered for accurate colour control at every nanometer,” Godox revealed.

“Built on deep spectral analysis of natural daylight, the PaletteLab reconstructs a light spectrum close to real sunlight.”

More information – provided by Godox – is available below.

Free from spectral gaps

Aiming for uncompromised white light, the PaletteLab optimises the continuity across the full visible spectrum through Multispectral Optical Coupling Technology.

By refining transitions from blue to cyan and from orange red to deep red, PaletteLab eliminates spectral gaps, delivering exceptional spectrum continuity that translates directly into cleaner images, truer colours, and more lifelike results.

Reproduction of daylight

Covering the full visible spectrum with minimal drop-offs, the PaletteLab delivers smooth transitions and flawless colour rendering in high SSI values of 92 and 87.

With near-perfect TM-30 RF of 97 and CRI R9 of 99, it ensures faithful accuracy and rich vibrancy across every frame, especially in skin tones.

Shadows, highlights, and every hue in between are rendered naturally, allowing emotions and stories to shine through with absolute authenticity.

● CRI R9≈99: Deep reds with natural depth for lifelike skin tones

● TM-30 RF≈97: Consistent accuracy across all colours

● Full spectral continuity: Natural dimensionality without artificial colour bias

Skin tones that read true

PaletteLab’s full-spectrum architecture was optimised specifically for one of the most demanding tests in cinematography: human skin.

With a full spectrum and optimised orange red to red to deep red range, it eliminates the muddy “LED grey” that flattens faces.

Across every complexion and skin tone, colour stays balanced and authentic.

Cinematic colour space

  • 92% Rec.2020 Coverage: Compatible with 4K/8K ultra-high definition shooting, preserving richer colour detail
  • TM-30 Rg: 101: Perfect balance of saturation and accuracy
  • More Than 281 Trillion Colours: Infinite colours for infinite creativity

Based on a continuous spectrum with independently controlled muti-channel architecture, PaletteLab provides cinematic colour space for infinite creativity.

Hues blend naturally. Gradients stay smooth. Colour carries the depth and intention your frame demands.

Colour temperature locus

The PaletteLab gives three calibrated response curves – Godox Curve, Blackbody Curve, and TM-30 Curve – so users can work the way that makes sense for their project.
