
The British Society of Cinematographers has announced its new members for 2026.
This year, the BSC is welcoming seven cinematographers to Full Accredited status and two camera operators to Associate status.
The list of Full Accredited members is:
- Laura Bellingham BSC
- Darran Bragg BSC
- Olan Collardy BSC
- Andy McDonnell BSC
- Anna Patarakina BSC FSF
- John Sorapure BSC
- Katie Swain BSC
Meanwhile, the new Associate members are:
- Dan Nightingale Assoc BSC ACO
- Tom Walden Assoc BSC ACO

Laura Bellingham BSC is a BSC-nominated cinematographer whose work includes dramas such as Towards Zero and The Buccaneers, as well as feature films Magpie and The Power.
Darran Bragg BSC has been a cinematographer for more than 20 years, shooting dramas including The Lazarus Project, The Larkins, and Bergerac.
Olan Collardy BSC has photographed some of the most distinctive independent features of the past five years, earning a BIFA nomination in the process. His credits include Surviving Earth, Rye Lane, and Last Swim.
Andy McDonnell BSC has worked on some of the UK’s most-watched dramas, from Sex Education and Happy Valley to, most recently, A Woman of Substance.
Anna Patarakina BSC FSF has a diverse body of work spanning independent features such as The Lesson and Dreamers, as well as television dramas including Ponies and Down Cemetery Road.
John Sorapure BSC is not only an acclaimed cinematographer but also a successful second unit director and cinematographer. His credits as a cinematographer include Ted Lasso, Inside No. 9, and Horrible Histories: The Movie. As a second unit cinematographer, he has worked on Barbie, Wonka, and most recently Project Hail Mary.
Katie Swain BSC has been a cinematographer for more than 20 years, shooting series such as Sanditon, Little Britain, and Help. In addition to her work as a cinematographer, she has served as a second unit cinematographer on films including Masters of the Universe, Wake Up Dead Man, and Gladiator II.
In the Associate category, we welcome Dan Nightingale Assoc BSC ACO, whose work as an A-camera operator and Steadicam operator includes productions such as The Night Manager, Half Man, Falling, and Tip Toe.
Tom Walden Assoc BSC ACO has worked as an A-camera operator on productions including A Thousand Blows – for which he received a nomination for the Operators Award – The Gold, Code of Silence, and most recently Star City.
Both Nightingale and Walden are members of the Association of Camera Operators (ACO).
The new additions will be presented with their membership certificates at the BSC Summer Lunch on 5 July.
