Royal Television Society awards fellowships for 2024

The Royal Television Society (RTS), Britain’s leading forum for television and related media, has announced six Fellowships for 2024 and a number of new appointments for its Board and Chairs for its Awards and Committees. The Fellowships were presented last night during the RTS Patrons’ Dinner held at One Great George Street.

RTS Fellowships honour distinguished industry leaders who have made an exceptional, long-lasting, and significant impact on the UK television industry. For 2024, Fellowships have been awarded to Philip Edgar-Jones OBE, Executive Director, Sky TV; Patrick Holland, CEO and Executive Chair, Banijay Group; Gwyneth Hughes, Director and Writer; Rosie Jones, Comedian, Writer, and Actor; Stephen Merchant, Comedian, Actor, Writer, and Director; and Ade Rawcliffe, Group Director of Diversity and Inclusion, ITV.

Tim Hincks, Co-CEO of multi-genre independent production company Expectation, has joined the RTS’ Board of Trustees, and Sarah Booth, Director of Communications at Banijay Group, has been appointed Chair of the National Events Committee. Managing Director, ITV Studios Daytime, Emma Gormley has been appointed as Chair of the RTS Craft & Design Awards, and Dr. Joanna Abeyie MBE, founder and CEO of Blue Moon & Partners, has come on board as Chair of the Inclusion Committee. Kat Hebden, Head of Development at Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, has also joined as the new Chair of the RTS Futures Committee.

We also welcome Joanna, Sarah, Kat, Emma and Tim who are all talented, internationally renowned executives and we are thrilled to work closely with them in their new appointments, where their guidance and expertise will be invaluable across our awards, committees and Board.”
