Investment drives sustainability at Sunbelt Rentals Film and TV
Aug 6, 2024
Sunbelt Rentals Film and TV has introduced 18 Euro 6 Lighting Trucks, with stage 5 generator engines into its ever-growing sustainable fleet of equipment. These trucks are equipped with stage 5 generator engines, further solidifying their commitment to providing innovative and environmentally friendly solutions to the industry. This £3 million investment demonstrates their dedication to supporting the Film and TV industry in their transition towards implementing more sustainable practices in productions.
The vehicles include stage 5 generators, capable of delivering up to 250KW, to provide customers with a single solution for power and light on location. Integrated technology also automatically activates the generator to recharge the battery when needed, reducing overall energy consumption, therefore reducing the lifetime cost for productions.
Sunbelt Rentals is committed to sustainability through its “Our Planet” sustainability action plan. The introduction of the new trucks marks the next step in its strategic approach to low-carbon technology and environmentally conscious solutions, aimed at reducing emissions, minimising waste and conserving energy. Their dedication to this cause is further demonstrated by their Albert green accreditation, showcasing their efforts to collaborate with the industry to reduce their carbon footprint.
Mike Pollard, Managing Director of Sunbelt Rentals Film and TV, was delighted to see the trucks roll in. He said: “Our continued investment in environmentally friendly equipment demonstrates our support in helping customers implement sustainable practices in their productions. By committing to providing innovative solutions such as these state-of-the-art trucks, we can help our customers to realise their creative vision and reduce their carbon footprint at the same time!”
