Women in Media to honour four living legends in the entertainment industry

Women In Media will honour a slate of legendary women in the entertainment industry at the annual Holiday Toast on December 7, 2024 at 11 AM at the Hotel Sofitel Beverly Hills.

The event pays tribute to women in the industry who are masters of their crafts and pioneers in their fields. People of all genders are invited and welcome to celebrate at the Holiday Toast.

 The 2024 Women in Media Holiday Toast Honourees are:

Ellen H. Schwartz

Helena Jackson

Jeannine Oppewall

Honouree Ellen H. Schwartz said about receiving this honor: “Women in Media has done trailblazing work creating a more equitable environment in  the film and media industry. Having worked behind the camera for a few decades and  seen first-hand the necessary change – and the impact of Women in Media – I am truly  grateful for this recognition.”

International Cinematographers Guild Local 600 is showing their support for Helena  Jackson by placing a congratulatory tribute in the event program. Other unions and businesses are encouraged to attend, sponsor or make a contribution to Women in  Media to celebrate these remarkable women. Many are donating tickets to members financially impacted by the recent strikes and contraction in the industry.
