WFTV UK calls for candidates to apply to the WFTV Fearless Leadership Programme
Jun 7, 2024
Women in Film & TV UK announces the second annual WFTV Fearless Leadership Programme and the expansion of this year’s cohort from eight to 12 senior leaders from across the industry. The successful cohort will take part in a course of masterclasses over the next six months led by professional development coach Tracy Forsyth.
The purpose of the WFTV Fearless Leadership Programme, in partnership with Sunbelt Rentals, is to empower women to thrive in senior leadership positions by providing training and coaching in leadership skills, tools and techniques and mindset.
WFTV believes that if we want to enact change, one of the most powerful ways is to make sure women leaders are represented at the highest levels across the screen industries in all roles and empowered with the leadership skills, self-belief and confidence to set and deliver strategy, to make positive impact and maintain their resilience for the long-haul.
Nadine Marsh-Edwards, Co-founder & Executive Producer whose credits include the BAFTA and RTS winning Joe All Alone, and BAFTA nominated An Englishman in New York, from the 2023 cohort said “Our industry is going through some very challenging times and the fact that Tracy has been in a senior leadership role means that she has a deep knowledge and understanding of what we do as leaders and the skills we need now and moving forward in order to survive and thrive.”
This is a bespoke programme of group coaching, 1-2-1 coaching and masterclasses, and will cover topics such as persuading and influencing, landing key messages, motivating, and empowering teams and setting work culture as well as profile-raising and thought leadership.
Applications close on Monday 1 July 2024 at 17:00 and all details can be found here:
CEO Katie Bailiff said “WFTV’s vision is a thriving, inclusive and creative film and television industry where women are supported, empowered, and celebrated at every level. At this difficult time in the industry, it is crucial we support our senior industry women so they can lead with confidence and compassion. We are delighted to partner once again with Sunbelt Rentals on this year’s Fearless Leadership Programme”
Tracy Forsyth said, “I work with many senior leaders across the creative industries who have similar leadership challenges. By creating this group of leaders, we are not only able to work as a group to develop and master skills but also become a powerful cohort who can support each other through the rest of their careers.”
