The Academy Award nominee joins the company’s London HQ.

Global visual effects studio Framestore, today announces the appointment of international production supervisor Gary Brozenich. After 22 years at MPC and having established his reputation on box office tentpoles Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, The Lone Ranger, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and two instalments of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Gary bolsters the studio’s world-class roster of supervision talent.

“The strength of the team and reputation as a great place to work is what brings me to Framestore with a shared belief in the power of the craft to create truly remarkable images,” explains Brozenich.  “Framestore has scale whilst having been judicious in its approach to growth, fostering teams and talent along the way to deliver exceptional work that I know clients, as well as myself, admire.  With the capacity to deliver blockbuster projects and ability to shepherd shows from pre-production to post alongside some serious technical expertise, I’m ready to join the team.”

Passionate about the possibilities of the craft, Brozenich is driven toward complex creative and technical challenges and believes his training in fine art and early career as a sculptor and model maker informs his approach.  A three time collaborator of Ridley Scott, working across Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Duel and All the Money in the World, working twice with Joachim Rønning across Disney blockbusters Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge.  He’s supervised for Gore Verbinski (The Lone Ranger), Ron Howard (The Davinci Code) and Tim Burton (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street).   Most recently Brozenich worked with Director Steven Caple Jr to bring depth and clarity of character to the Autobots in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Brozenich will work alongside Framestore’s senior team of supervisors who have delivered Oscar & BAFTA winning or nominated work such as Gravity, Blade Runner 2049, Christoper Robin, The Midnight Sky, Top Gun: Maverick, No Time to Die, The Dark Knight, Guardians of the Galaxy, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 1, His Dark Materials as well as this summer’s hits Barbie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 and The Little Mermaid.  He will report in to CEO of Film & Episodic, Fiona Walkinshaw.

“While our industry is experiencing significant change we are making preparations to help our clients get back to business,” explains Fiona Walkinshaw, CEO of Film & Episodic at Framestore.  “Gary is highly regarded by the studios, a valuable collaborator and creative problem solver and someone I have been keen to work with for a long time.  His appointment buoys an already accomplished team of supervisors and follows two senior hires in Montreal last month.

“Our studios in London, Melbourne, Montreal, Mumbai and Vancouver have delivered exceptional work this summer across Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3, Barbie, The Little Mermaid, Loki Season 2 and Foundation Season 2 with Wonka and Rebel Moon, to hit our screens later this year.  We have world-class talent, scale and the capacity to deliver against the most complex creative challenges.”
