The Academy Museum celebrates its 1-year anniversary on September 30, 2022. To commemorate the occasion, the museum are to present a special screening of the beloved Motown musical, The Wiz (1978).
Regeneration: Black Cinema 1898–1971, an in-depth look at Black participation and influence in American filmmaking, opened to the public on August 21. This opening was accompanied by the launch of a beautifully curated catalogue and microsite, an extensive line of merchandise, and exciting new film and public programs.
