Stephen Murphy has been announced as the new President of the Irish Society of Cinematographers (ISC). He takes over from Ciaran Tanham who has been president of the society since its inception 10 years ago.

“I am delighted and honoured to be asked to succeed Ciaran and to help guide the ISC through the coming years. It represents a fantastic group of Cinematographers and I hope to continue the Societies great work recognising the art and craft of Irish Cinematographers around the world”.

Murphy has an extensive list of international credits including the upcoming “Mr & Mrs Smith” for Amazon,

“No One Gets Out Alive” for Netflix, “Years and Years” for HBO and additional photography for “The Favourite” (Fox Searchlight). For his recent work on Donald Glover’s “Atlanta” he was nominated for a prestigious ASC Award. Murphy is also a member of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC)

We wish Stephen well and look forward to the announcement of a new committee to support him in the coming weeks.
