Space Studios, Manchester’s premier, purpose-built facility for HETV, film and commercials has confirmed that Cheryl Hughes will take up the role of Brand and Marketing Manager with immediate effect.

Hughes joins Space from The Pinewood Group where she was Senior Brand and Content Marketing Manager, working across its Pinewood, Shepperton and Toronto studios.

Commenting on Hughes arrival, Rob Page, MD Space Studiossaid: “Welcoming Cheryl into the role of Brand & Marketing Manager, marks an important step in Space Studios’s evolution.  Her expertise will help shape Space for the future and really put us on the map as the go-to destination for filming in the north-west of England.”

Recent high-profiles projects Space has hosted include “House of Guinness” for Netflix and “The Talamasca” for AMC. Other notable productions have included “Peaky Blinders”, “Boiling Point”, “Brassic” and “Daddy Issues”.

Commenting, Hughes said: “I’m excited to be back in Manchester to help raise the profile of Space Studios and the whole north-west region as a first-class filming destination here in the UK. Many US and international clients have already enjoyed the northern hospitality and solid film and TV infrastructure we have to offer and I look forward to building on that.”
