The Congress brings industry and education together to discuss critical skills needs alongside the current challenges and opportunities in the UK screen industries.
The theme “Re-writing the rules: talent and global content” will focus on how the rapid changes in the world of the screen industries necessitate a fresh outlook and new skills for students so they can progress successfully into the workplace. In particular, the Congress will support the essential role educators play in preparing their students for this newly emerging future.
Programme details
Congress 2022 will build on the huge success of the 2021 inaugural Congress. It will use the successful format of keynote addresses, case studies (both academic and industry), panel discussions and breakout sessions from those working and teaching at the highest levels of the screen industries.
Like last year’s event, this event will take place on a dedicated online event platform.
ScreenSkills Select endorses and enhances screen courses that develop industry-ready students – so students (and their guardians and teachers) can select courses that will provide relevant skills and strong links with professionals and potential employers; industry can select the best new talent; and colleges and universities can gain a Select reputation for their courses.
