Picture Shop, Streamland Media’s picture division, announced that renowned senior colourist Mitch Paulson has joined its premier roster of artists.
Paulson’s impressive feature credits include Blade Runner 2049, Skyfall, Sicario, Jungle Cruise, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, The Bikeriders and the upcoming films Transformers One and Alien: Romulus, among many others.
Picture Shop President Cara Sheppard notes, “We are absolutely delighted to have Mitch join us. He brings a unique perspective to his work as a world-class artist, as well as an expertise in visual effects art and technology. He is a trusted creative partner to some of the industry’s most visionary filmmakers.”
In addition to his feature works, Paulson’s episodic work includes credits from his ongoing collaboration with Taylor Sheridan on acclaimed series, 1923, Mayor of Kingstown, Special Ops: Lioness, and the upcoming Landman.

A Minnesota native, Paulson studied 3D animation at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and received certifications in VFX technologies from Digital Hollywood Institute of Media Art. He began his career working on trailers before transitioning to long form, where he is known for bringing a depth of visual and visual effects expertise to his work. Prior to joining Picture Shop, he was most recently at Company 3.
Paulson has been nominated for several HPA awards and received the HPA Award for Outstanding Color Grading for the feature Film Jungle Cruise. In 2019, he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Sciences and into the American Society of Cinematographers as an Associate Member.
Paulson is based in Los Angeles and works out of Picture Shop’s Sunset Gower Studios headquarters. He is also available globally to meet the demands of any project, anywhere in the world.
