Theatergoers in the Los Angeles area can experience Owen Roizman ASC’s expert camerawork on the big screen over the coming weeks during a special retrospective screening series organised by the American Cinematheque, running from April 16 to June 21, with certain screenings introduced by ASC members.
A five-time Academy Award nominee, honorary Oscar recipient, ASC President and ASC Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, Roizman passed on January 6 at the age of 86 following a lengthy illness.
The screenings will be split between the Cinematheque’s Los Feliz Theater in Hollywood and Aero Theater in Santa Monica:
