Yoo Capital, the real estate investment firm renowned for transformative mixed-use developments, is delighted to announce its partnership with the UK’s leading creative institute, The National Film and Television School (NFTS), for the Camden Film Quarter development, first announced in 2023.
As part of the former’s s vision to create an entirely new creative neighbourhood, NFTS will look to have a dedicated, standalone environment, to inspire a future generation of talent within an ecosystem that’s entirely dedicated to film, television and games. The new development in Camden will complement existing NFTS locations across the UK in Beaconsfield, Leeds, Scotland and Wales, enhancing the School’s reach and influence. The aligned ambitions for Yoo Capital and NFTS in this partnership is to foster interaction between every planned element of the site to supercharge not only the creative industry but how future destinations can be shaped to allow culture, community and commercial viability to coexist.
With over 50 years’ of experience providing the highest standard of education, NFTS will be advising on, designing and delivering unique programmes for the space, bringing their expertise to the local creative community with their first ever purpose built central London site. Our commitment to delivering this important school as part of Camden Film Quarter is a direct reflection of our commitment to balancing fiscal and social responsibility and to supporting the UK’s commitment to the creative, film and television industries.
Alongside NFTS’s education campus, the plans for Camden Film Quarter will encompass spaces that create an innovative and sustainable mixed-use neighbourhood with industrial, commercial and creative activity provided alongside high-quality new homes, 50% of which will be affordable, and infrastructure to support the local community.
“As Yoo Capital’s education partner for Camden Film Quarter, the National Film and Television School (NFTS) is thrilled to announce our plans for a dedicated creative space in central London,” says Jon Wardle, director of the NFTS. “This partnership underlines our commitment to developing a vibrant community of emerging future talent by offering world leading training that is accessible to all while further advancing the UK’s position as a global creative powerhouse.”
