Molinare bolsters colourist team with appointment of Carlotta Rio

Leading UK post-production facility, Molinare, announces the appointment of Carlotta Rio to Senior Colourist. Rio brings a wealth of experience across feature documentaries, episodic factual and drama projects, further strengthening the team’s offering to its clients.
Rio joins following a two-year stint at London post house, Splice, as Senior Colourist. Here, Rio worked on groundbreaking documentary, My Sexual Abuse: The Sitcom, Kim Longinotto’s Dalton’s Dream and the second series of an award-winning comedy series, with a TX date yet to be released.
Prior to her time at Splice, Rio spent 10 years at factual post house, Evolutions. Joining as Senior Edit Assistant, Rio progressed to Baselight project and workflow Supervisor, before taking the step to colourist in 2017. As colourist at Evolutions, Rio lent her eye to a plethora of high-end documentary work. Highlights include, Workerbee’s intimate four-part documentary, Janet Jackson. and Oxford Scientific’s Meerkat Manor: Rise of the Dynasty.
Rio’s strengths are driven by creativity and spirit of adventure, drawing on her time as an underwater videographer. Her understanding of conveying emotion through the grade, and adeptness to adapt, not only results in creative and technical excellence for the project, but also a trusted relationship with her clients. As Molinare continues to grow its feature documentary, high-end episodic factual and drama output, Rio’s style and demonstrated solid body of work, perfectly complements Molinare’s three current colourists, further strengthening the team
