Maya Hawke will participate in a Q&A with the audience before the screening of the film Wildcat on 10th of November at 20:30.
The 25-year-old star from New York is known for her roles in Stranger Things, Little Women, and Asteroid City, as well as for her work as a musician and songwriter. She has also modeled for Calvin Klein and has been a familiar face on the red carpet since childhood, alongside her parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.
Maya takes on the lead role in Wildcat a film based on the life of American author Flannery O’Connor in the early 1950s. The movie portrays O’Connor’s struggle to publish her first novel and is an emotionally stirring drama that unveils the person behind the authorship.
Maya’s fascination with the gothic writer was the inspiration for the film, which was also directed and written by Ethan Hawke.

On the 10th of November at 20:30, Maya Hawke will visit the Sture cinema for a Q&A moderated by the journalist Christina Jeurling Birro (Pop Culture). Where also Ethan Hawke will take part in the introduction of “Wildcat.”
Also, as previously been announced, Ethan Hawke will be awarded the Stockholm Achievement Award 2023 during the screening of Wildcat at Skandia Cinema on November 10th.
