Lens manufacturer Laowa and CVP, European cine and broadcast solution providers, have announced an “enhanced strategic partnership”.
“This collaboration ensures that the full range of Laowa’s cutting-edge optics is not only more accessible than ever but also backed by world-class technical support,” a press release said.
In a “significant expansion of their service offering”, CVP is now officially supporting Laowa service cases across Europe.
This addition of specialised repair services “ensures that Laowa users have a local, expert touchpoint for maintenance, calibration, and technical support”.
To provide a “seamless and transparent experience”, all service requests will be managed through the CVP Pro Repairs Portal.
This “streamlined system” allows customers to log repairs, upload supporting documentation, and track the progress of their equipment in real-time.
CVP will maintain a consistent, comprehensive stock of Laowa products across its facilities – from the Probe series lenses to the latest Anamorphic series, as well as Ranger Zoom & Sword macro lenses.
By holding a deep inventory of Laowa SKUs, CVP will aim to eliminate long lead times, allowing creators to get the tools they need for immediate production requirements.
“Laowa is known for pushing the boundaries of optical design,” said a spokesperson for Laowa.
“By partnering with CVP, we are ensuring that our users receive a level of service and availability that matches the quality of our glass.”
