The 7th Annual Kodak Film Awards will take place at the Kodak House in Hollywood on Friday, Feb. 27, 2025 at an invitation-only event honouring Ed Lachman ASC, Gia Coppola, Lol Crawley BSC, Greg Kwedar, and Ramez Silyan.
Academy Award nominated cinematographer Ed Lachman, ASC (Maria) will receive the Kodak Career Achievement Award for his incomparable contributions to film. Lachman’s mastery of the moving image and inspired creative approach has led to collaborations with directors such as Todd Haynes, Robert Altman, Steven Soderbergh, Ulrich Seidl, Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders, Bernardo Bertolucci, Jean-Luc Godard, and Pablo Larraín, earning him four Oscar nominations and five ASC nominations, among other accolades.
Director/producer Gia Coppola, acclaimed for her latest film The Last Showgirl, is set to be honored with the Auteur Award in recognition of her exceptional directorial achievements.
The Lumiere Award, recognising a distinguished career in Cinematography, will be conferred upon Academy Award nominee Lol Crawley, BSC (The Brutalist).
Director/screenwriter/producer Greg Kwedar (Sing Sing) will receive the Vanguard Award for his trailblazing effort to improve opportunity for the underrepresented in the motion picture arts.
Director Ramez Silyan, whose work includes music films featuring Post Malone, Khalid, Charli XCX, and Rosé, will receive the Music Film Director Award.
“It’s another great awards season for film and independent cinema with twenty-nine Oscar nominations for shot on film productions, including Best Picture consideration for Anora, The Brutalist, and I’m Still Here,” says Vanessa Bendetti, Head of Motion Picture and Entertainment for Kodak. “Kodak is excited to recognize some of this year’s most celebrated films and artists at our intimate awards reception.”
Acclaimed productions captured on KODAK film this awards season include A Different Man, Anora, The Brutalist, Challengers, I’m Not a Robot, I’m Still Here, The Last Showgirl, Maria, Nosferatu, Queer, and Sing Sing.
