Godox has introduced the KNOWLED MG2400R, a 2650-watt RGBWW point-source LED light built for commercial and film environments where consistent output, color control, and durability are required.
The MG2400R expands the KNOWLED line with a combination of high-output capability and wide-ranging control options, providing technical flexibility for lighting designers and cinematographers.
High-Output 2650W RGBWW LED Source
The MG2400R provides a power output of 2650 watts, enabling use in large-scale lighting setups. Its output level allows for use as a primary or secondary light source, including when paired with light-shaping accessories such as softbox or reflector.
It incorporates a head design configured for use with native optical accessories. The system is constructed to align mechanical and optical components for consistent beam shape and light distribution. The design minimizes light loss and supports controlled output when used with compatible modifiers developed for the fixture.
Color Engine and Dimming Management
The MG2400R uses a combination of red, green, blue, warm white, and cool white LEDs to support variable color output and adjustable correlated color temperature (CCT). The CCT can be set within a range of 1,800K to 10,000K. Available color control modes include CCT, HSI, RGBW, X/Y coordinate selection, and gel emulation.
A green-magenta shift function is included for cross-light matching and camera-specific correction. Dimming is continuous from 0 to 100%, with selectable dimming curves for high-resolution adjustment. The light output is regulated to prevent flicker during high-frame-rate capture.
As part of the KNOWLED full-color line, the MG2400R is designed to maintain consistent output across its CCT settings and dimming range. This allows multiple unit throughout the entire KNOWLED series to operate with comparable performance characteristics under the same configuration.
Mounting and Optical System
The MG2400R is equipped with a G-Mount interface, which allows attachment of compatible optical accessories such as projection attachment, Fresnel lens, and reflectors. It shares full accessory compatibility with MG2400Bi, MG1200Bi, and MG1200R. This allows shared used of existing modifiers across different fixtures within the same system.
Environment Protection and Thermal Management System
The MG2400R has a metal housing and an IP54 rating, providing resistance to dust and water spray for use in indoor and partially sheltered environments. Internal temperature is managed by an active cooling system with variable-speed fans.
Multiple Control Options
The unit includes onboard control through the control box. It also supports remote operation via DMX, CRMX, Ethernet, and Bluetooth through the Godox KNOWLED APP. These options allow integration into various control environments, from standalone use to centralized console systems.
