Godox has announced the launch of two new “flagship fixtures” in its KNOWLED lineup: the PL600RF and PL1200RF.

“Designed for high-end film production, commercial advertising, and studio environments, the new fixtures introduce a significant advancement in full-spectrum LED lighting through Godox’s latest PaletteLab colour engine,” Godox revealed.

“With a focus on precision, consistency, and professional-grade workflow integration, the PL600RF and PL1200RF represent a new generation of lighting tools engineered to meet the demands of modern cinematography.”

At the core of both fixtures is Godox’s newly developed PaletteLab full-spectrum colour engine, a multi-channel spectral system designed to improve colour fidelity and visual consistency across complex lighting environments.

“This results in smoother spectral distribution and improved rendering of critical tones such as skin, fabric, and mixed-light environments,” Godox continued.

“The PaletteLab colour engine delivers a full-spectrum performance across the entire visible wavelength range. More than a simple combination of light sources, it results in smoother spectral distribution and improved rendering of critical tones such as skin, fabric, and mixed-light environments.”

Key colour performance highlights include:

  • CRI up to 99 (R9 ≈99) for highly accurate red and skin tone reproduction
  • TM-30 Rf≈97 for enhanced colour fidelity
  • TM-30 Rg≈101 for balanced saturation and natural colour response
  • SSI D32 ≈ 93, D55 ≈ 90, ensuring consistent, accurate colour performance under both light sources.

This approach is designed to give filmmakers and lighting professionals a more reliable and predictable colour foundation across different shooting conditions.

Covering 92% of the Rec.2020 colour gamut, the PL series unlocks over 281 trillion colours, enabling “exceptional precision and creative flexibility” in lighting design.

“From bold, dynamic atmospheres to subtle tonal transitions, it delivers rich colour depth, smooth blending, and highly faithful reproduction — bringing on-screen imagery closer to the creator’s original vision,” Godox said.

Designed with “real-world production efficiency in mind”, both fixtures integrate advanced control and rugged physical design features:

  • Integrated CRMX wireless DMX control for professional lighting networks
  • IP65-rated construction for demanding studio and outdoor environments
  • Bowens mount compatibility for a wide range of modifiers

With a lightweight structure and all-in-one design, the PL series requires no external adapter, reducing gear load and simplifying setup.

Its streamlined build is said to help crews move faster, rig more easily, and work more efficiently across commercial shoots and film sets.

Plus, with a Flat Bowens Mount, the PL600RF and PL1200RF work “seamlessly” with a wide range of professional accessories.

“From precise, focused beams to soft ambient illumination, a single fixture delivers the versatility to meet the full range of creative lighting demands,” said Godox.

And finally, the PaletteLab gives three calibrated response curves – Godox Curve, Blackbody Curve, and Daylight Curve – “so you can work the way that makes sense for your project”.
