EMIFF and RCD Mallorca Studios launch short film competition

Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival, in partnership with the RCD Mallorca Studios, announce the launch of a new short film competition aimed at nurturing creativity and showcasing emerging talent from the island of Mallorca.

The initiative was officially unveiled at a press event held at the conference hall of the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, with RCD Mallorca Studios Director Albert Salas and EMIFF Founder and CEO Sandra Lipski in attendance. This bold new venture seeks to bring together the worlds of sport and cinema, inviting filmmakers to submit short films between 2 and 5 minutes in length. The winning entry will be awarded €1,000.

Sandra Lipski expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: “This is a significant step forward in merging the cinematic arts with Mallorca’s rich cultural roots. Our aim is to discover new voices and offer them a stage to shine globally.”

Albert Salas echoed the sentiment, adding: “RCD Mallorca remains committed to innovation and to strengthening its connection with the Mallorcan community. This competition demonstrates how the club can inspire creativity, foster cultural identity, and help unite people through shared stories.”
