Digital Sputnik systems are in use to light up the latest space adventure Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, being shot in Atlanta by DP Henry Braham BSC. Rental Partner MBS Equipment Co. is providing the lighting package for the production. Digital Sputnik’s Modular lighting platform was also used to light up sequences of the forthcoming Jason Bourne feature, lensed by Barry Ackroyd BSC for director Paul Greengrass. The small size and high output of the system allows for fast set-up and up to 85% less power consumption compared to tungsten based lights while allowing individual module temperature range from 1500 – 10000 kelvin with the option to mix in any primary or secondary colour. Multi-dimensional Look up Table-based dimming control keeps the colour stable and flicker free throughout the whole dimming range.
