Departure of London Film School COO and Head of Marketing and Recruitment

London Film School (LFS) has announced the departure of COO, Dan Lawson, and Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment, Veronique Fricke.
Dan will be leaving the School on 31st October for a new position after six and a half years. An interim COO will be appointed to oversee the transition as new Director and CEO, Chris Auty starts at the beginning of November.
Veronique will be moving on after eight years at the School on 1st November, to a new position at a Higher Education Institution. Senior Communications Manager, Holly Blake will be appointed Acting Head of Marketing.
Neil Peplow, of London Film School said, “I would like to thank both Dan and Veronique for their sterling work and commitment over the years.
“Dan has been instrumental in ensuring the School navigated through COVID-19 and led the accreditation of the School as a World-Leading Specialised Provider with the Office for Students. Dan will collaborate with the interim COO and the team to ensure a smooth transition to new management.
“Veronique has played a pivotal role in shaping our school’s global presence and has been instrumental in steering our marketing and student recruitment efforts to the success that we see today. She leaves behind a School that is in much demand, with applications at an all-time high.”
Greg Dyke Chair of London Film School said, “We would like to thank Dan and Veronique hugely for all their hard work over the last eight years. They are leaving the school in a much better place, and we wish them well in their new positions. In the meantime, we are appointing an interim COO to support Chris Auty, the incoming CEO, with the transition and look forward to his imminent arrival when he will start to appoint his new team around him.”
Dan Lawson said, “During my time at LFS I have had the pleasure of working alongside a huge number of talented staff and students. I’m confident the school will go on to a new period of progression with the new team in place.”
Veronique Fricke commented, “It is with a heavy heart that I move on to a new position, leaving behind a hard-working and hugely talented team. The work that comes from the staff and students of LFS is unmatched and I look forward to hearing about their continued success.”
The changes come as Chris Auty is appointed Director and CEO, marking the start of a new period for the School. The School will be approaching its 70th anniversary in two years’ time and celebrating the achievements of everyone who has been a part of its story.
