CVP appoints Stuart Dennis as sector development manager

May 23, 2025

CVP has appointed Stuart Dennis to spearhead its new initiative aimed at independent content creators, as the professional video reseller shifts focus to meet the needs of a growing sector of mirrorless shooters, hybrid creators and online broadcasters.

Dennis joins as Sector Development Manager, tasked with building a new division tailored to freelancers and self-shooting producers looking for accessible camera, studio and streaming solutions. A key part of the strategy includes launching a dedicated space for creators at CVP’s Charlotte Street showroom, dubbed The Creator Hub, alongside an online campaign targeting emerging professionals.

The hire signals a broadening of CVP’s customer base as it responds to the shifting dynamics of the industry — where smaller-scale, agile production models are playing a bigger role across social platforms, branded content, and independent filmmaking.

Dennis is well known in the UK video retail scene, having spent nearly two decades in the industry, including nine years at Wex Photo Video where he led its professional video division. He brings both technical knowledge and strategic experience, with a reputation for engaging closely with users across the creative spectrum.

His arrival at CVP reflects a growing recognition within traditional broadcast suppliers that content creation is no longer confined to large-scale productions. With more creators looking for professional-grade gear at accessible price points, the market is demanding retailers who can bridge the gap between high-end workflows and solo setups.

CVP says the appointment is part of a wider effort to “support the next generation of content creators,” with Dennis expected to drive both community engagement and product offering in the months ahead.
