Creative Enterprise launches two new business support programmes

Aug 29, 2024

Creative Enterprise, part of Creative UK, announce two brand new programmes catering for creative companies across the screen industries, providing vital business support and financial guidance to those working in film & TV, gaming, immersive, animation and creative technology (createch).

Creative Enterprise Screen Launchpad is a three-month development initiative designed for creative professionals ready to start a business from underrepresented communities, inclusive of but not limited to global majority, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, visible or invisible disability or lower socioeconomic groups.

The initiative sets out to provide these aspiring founders with the tools and advice required to transform business plans into realities and will equip successful participants with the essential skills, valuable knowledge, and support channels to confidently step into a business leader role.

Creative Enterprise is hosting an exclusive Meet the Mentors webinar on 4 September introducing Screen Launchpad’s experts and giving opportunity to ask questions ahead of starting an application. Sign up here.

Olivia Savage, Project Manager for Creative Enterprise Screen Launchpad, commented: “Launching this programme has been a priority of Creative Enterprises’ for some time because we understand how important it is that programmes like this exist; ones that are truly inclusive and meet the specific needs of emerging founders in the industry.

“We’re excited to be working with so many amazing advisors, mentors, speakers and contributors to shape and deliver a transformational programme for underrepresented screen entrepreneurs.”

Alongside Screen Launchpad, Creative Enterprise Reframe is being introduced, which has been structured in response to the sector’s constantly changing landscape, particularly in relation to technology, funding models and broadcasting modes.

Reframe is a five-month initiative designed for established creative business owners who have ambitions to change and adapt their existing business operations without having to start over. For example, this could look like marketing your animation to new markets or making use of novel technology or AI tools to engage with different audiences. The Reframe programme will provide a unique opportunity for participants to rework their content or product, re-evaluate their production methods and discover new, profitable ways of working.

Sarah Jones, Project Manager for Creative Enterprise Reframe, commented: “We are really excited about this innovative and disruptive programme, which came about from noticing the changes and needs of the creative sector’s screen industries.

“At Creative Enterprise, we pride ourselves on providing flexible services for the businesses we support. Reframe will provide creative entrepreneurs with the skills, new knowledge and mindset to diversify their business proposition and form a cohort of adaptable and innovative leaders across England.”
