Creamsource has introduced Slyyd v1.5, the latest update to its professional lighting control app for iPadOS and iOS.

Shaped by user feedback, version 1.5 introduces “high-demand workflow features” that expand how lighting looks are created, adjusted, and played back in real world environments, while extending control to larger setups with support for up to four DMX universes.

Developed by the team behind Creamsource’s lighting fixtures trusted on sets around the world, Slyyd carries the same field-tested approach to tools designed to work under pressure.

“It’s lighting control informed by long days on set, where speed, clarity and reliable colour matter more than what looks good on a spec sheet,” said Creamsource.

Key features – provided by Creamsource – are available below.

LookStacks

LookStacks introduces a new way to build and play back lighting looks using a simple, layered workflow.

Users can create animated sequences with defined fade times and delays, keeping cues synchronised across multiple fixture brands and fixture types.

Looks can be saved, recalled, and stepped through as production needs change.

Dialing it in

Slyyd 1.5 adds more ways to fine-tune both intensity and colour across a rig.

The Relative Encoder lets you scale intensity, colour temperature or colour values proportionally, bringing everything up or down while keeping the balance you’ve already set.

When a look needs subtle correction, Color Nudge controls offer precise ± RGB adjustments, including dedicated Green/Magenta control, making it easy to tame shifts and line up colour across mixed fixtures without having to rebuild the look.

Expanded visualisation and control

The CIE xy colour picker now displays multiple selected fixtures simultaneously, with expanded reference gamut support including AdobeRGB and DCI-P3.

A new isolated selection gesture allows users to lock onto a single fixture and make changes with confidence.

Network and protocol support

Slyyd 1.5 adds Art-Net output alongside sACN, with configurable sACN priority, making it easier to integrate Slyyd into a wide range of existing lighting networks.

New pro tier

Alongside these additions, Creamsource introduces Slyyd Pro, a new subscription tier intended for larger rigs and more complex setups.

  • Control up to four universes
  • Access to LookStacks
  • Projects remain shareable across all tiers, with no data loss when moving between subscription levels

Pricing: USD $20/month or $200/year. Free and existing tiers remain available.
