Chroma-Q provides impressive results for Limelite lighting

Sep 2, 2021

Renowned lighting rental and production management company, Limelite Lighting have further invested in Chroma-Q’s innovative lighting solutions.

Established in 2007, Limelite Lighting has grown to become one of the leading rental companies in the UK, providing high quality lighting, rigging and power equipment to the TV, theatre and events industries. They have a number of high-profile clients and often work with the BBC and ITV, as well as many other independent television production companies. Based just south of London, they are able to provide a fast and reliable service to venues in both the UK and Europe.

Limelite Lighting first invested in Chroma-Q’s award-winning Space ForceTM octo space light back in 2019 and have since used them as one of their staple products across a range of projects. They now have over 100 Space Force octo fixtures in their stock.

Matthew Mountier, Limelite Lighting’s project manager commented: “At Limelite Lighting, it is our priority to provide our clients with the best lighting equipment on the market.  We invest heavily in high-performance equipment to ensure high quality results that our clients expect. For us, the Chroma-Q Space Force octo is a staple fixture on our studio and location-based projects. The reason being the impressive output, colour temperature control and versatility of the unit.

“Currently, TV and film production is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. Demand for quality lighting is in high demand, and the Space Force remains one of our most popular assets. As a result, we have invested in more units to satisfy demand from hire clients and for our own productions.”

More recently, Limelite Lighting have also added Chroma-Q’s famous Color Force IITM battens to their offering.

Matthew continued;“Our investment to the Color Force II was a no brainer. We have found they are ideal for both set and stage lighting, offering high colour rendering and a spectrum of hues that satisfies the most creative of LDs. Since we made our initial investment into the Color Force II early last year, they have been instrumental in creating theatrical effects for multiple reality TV shows that have been broadcast across Netflix, ITV and BBC.”

Throughout lockdown, Limelite Lighting were involved in filming numerous reality TV shows where they were unable to enter the set once filming was underway, due to the risk of Covid infections. As a result, they had to use fixtures that they knew they could rely on and that could deliver a constant controlled output – the Chroma-Q Space Force octo and Color Force II units were core products for these projects.

Limelite Lighting is an advocate of Chroma-Q products for TV and film production for their superb build and engineering that deliver quality results. They purchased the products from Chroma-Q’s UK exclusive distributor, A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET).

Ben Steppenbeck, AC-ET’s Northern Lighting Sales Manager commented; “It is our pleasure to be able to provide the wonderful team at Limelite Lighting these cutting-edge Chroma-Q solutions. They work on some very impressive and high-profile projects, which require high quality fixtures – we are so pleased Chroma-Q is providing them great results and ticking all the boxes.”

AC-ET have always been incredibly professional and quick to respond. They are one of our core go-to lighting providers, who we can trust to provide a superb service.” Concluded Matthew.
