The BFI announce that Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan will reunite for a special In Conversation event at BFI Southbank, presented in partnership with Vanity Fair.
Two of the most engaging performers and brightest stars of their generation, Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan will reunite at BFI Southbank on 18 December to discuss their craft and their careers. They will revisit their much-loved collaborations, as well as exploring their most recent roles; Ronan’s bracing turn as a young alcoholic in The Outrun (Nora Fingscheidt, 2024) and as the mother of a boy who absconds while being evacuated in Blitz (Steve McQueen, 2024) and Chalamet’s transformative performance as Bob Dylan in the upcoming A Complete Unknown (James Mangold, 2024) and his role as Paul Atreides in the epic sci-fi Dune: Part Twop (Denis Villeneuve, 2024). This special event is presented in partnership with Vanity Fair’s Reunited series, with video highlights from the event exclusively launching on VanityFair.com and their social media channels, before the full conversation comes to BFI YouTube in the New Year.
Immediately following this special event, BFI Southbank will host a preview screening of A Complete Unknown ahead of its January 17th release, alongside a screening of The Outrun.
BFI Southbank will also host A Complete Unknown director James Mangold for an In Conversation event on 17.
Tickets for the Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan ‘In Conversation’ event will be available via BFI Member ballot from 6 December, details of which will be emailed to BFI Members. Sign up for BFI membership on the website for the opportunity to purchase tickets. Tickets to the screenings of A Complete Unknown and The Outrun will be available to purchase from 6 December by BFI Members from 12:00 and by the public from 16:00. James Mangold in Conversation is on sale now. For events that sell out, the box office will operate a first-come first-served standby queue on the day.
