Kodak Motion Picture is celebrating twenty-four productions shot on film at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Four on-film titles Die My Love, Sentimental Value, Sirat and The Phoenician’s Scheme, will compete for the Palme d’Or, with an additional seven titles featured in Un Certain Regard and six titles across Directors’ Fortnight and Critics’ Week captured on film.
“The twenty-four independently produced shot-on-film productions screening at the Cannes 2025 utilized film formats ranging from Super 8 (select scenes in Spike Lee’s Highest to Lowest) to 35mm Ektachrome (Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love) and include the work of four first-time directors (including Kristen Stewart, The Chronology of Water) to legendary filmmakers like Wes Anderson (The Phoenician Scheme),” said Vanessa Bendetti, Head of Kodak Motion Picture. “This is a wonderful representation of our motion picture film portfolio and the vast and ever-growing community of filmmakers that choose film to bring their stories to life. Kodak congratulates the filmmaking teams selected to the festival this year. We are proud to be a part of your artistic vision.”
