The Young Arrows Awards are back and free to enter

May 13, 2025

The Young Arrows awards have launched for 2025 and continue to be free-to-enter for the second time, removing the financial barrier that often blocks emerging talent from entering.

The Young Arrows’ mission is to spotlight and celebrate emerging talent in the UK moving image advertising industry, aiming to foster greater accessibility and build the diverse and inclusive talent pool that’s vitally needed for our industry to flourish.

Open to all those with less than 3 years’ experience in their current role, work can be submitted across 20 distinct categories. The winning work will be showcased this October at the inspiring awards show hosted by Reggie Yates at HERE at Outernet in central London.

Simon Cooper, Chairman of the British Arrows said, “Now in its fourth year, and continuing to be free to enter, the Young Arrows celebrates and rewards exceptional work by the next generation of emerging talent. The Young Arrows is the only awards show dedicated to recognising excellence across all departments of British moving image advertising and as such has a vital role in giving validation and encouragement to the new voices and fresh perspectives upon which the future health of our industry depends”.

Lisa Lavender, Managing Director of the British Arrows said, “As we kick off our fourth year, we continue to be totally overwhelmed by the response to the Young Arrows initiative. This will be the second year of free entry which we hope removes any final barrier to entry for young talent. The standard of work was exceptionally high last year so we are excited to see what this year brings”

Launched in 2022 by the not-for-profit British Arrows, which has honoured the best campaigns and craft in British moving image advertising for nearly 50 years, the Young Arrows is a successful pathway for those in the early years of their careers.

Fin Mulligan, freelance commercial producer, and winner of the 2024 Young Arrows Music Video Producer award, said: “I entered the Young Arrows because I really value platforms that shine a light on young people in this industry – especially in roles that can easily be overlooked. It’s such a competitive space, and sometimes the younger or newer talent doesn’t always get the recognition they deserve. I loved that it’s free to enter, which puts everyone on a level playing field and shows it’s not about who can afford to apply – it’s purely about the work, and I respect that a lot.”
