Rick Joaquim SASC wins Best Cinematography at British Short Film Awards

The winners of the British Short Film Awards have been revealed at a sparkling ceremony at Marylebone Theatre. Scooping the award for Best Cinematography (a category which British Cinematographer is proud to be a media partner of) was Rick Joaquim SASC for Stay Calm.  

Nominees in the category were Carmen Pellon Brussosa for Take Care; Dave Miller for The Pearl Comb; Joshua Carrington Birch for The Time Machine; and Rachel Clark BSC for Delivery. 

The other winners on the night were Delivery (Best Short Film); George (Best British Short Film); A Bear Named Wojtek (Best Animated Short Film); The Last Skiers (Best Documentary Short Film); I’m Not a Robot (Best Foreign Language Short Film); Faithful (Best Screenplay); Ahmad Alyaseer – Our Males and Females (Best Director); Louisa Connolly-Burnham – Sister Wives (Best British Director);  Olavo Abrantes – Recursive Dreams (Best Production Design); Patrick Fripp – The Woman in the Wardrobe (Best Sound Design); Freddie Leyden – Farmers!? (Best Editing); Kayla Craig – Leica (Best Costume Design); Dasha Taivas – The Licensed Fool (Best Hair and Make-Up); and Bal Maiden (Best Student Film).
