The British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) announced the nominations for their 69th annual awards.

In the Feature Film category this is the first nominations for Lol Crawley, Stéphane Fontaine and Paul Guilhaume. This is the fourth nomination for Greig Fraser, he was previously nominated for Lion (2016), Dune (2021) and The Batman (2022). This is the second nomination for Jarin Blaschke, he was previously nominated for The Lighthouse (2019).
The BSC award for “Cinematography In A Feature Film” is the second oldest award issued for Cinematography (behind the Academy Award®). Last year’s recipient, Robbie Ryan BSC ISC for Poor Things went on to be nominated for both an Oscar and BAFTA.
The Cinematography In A Feature Film Award will be sponsored by CineLab Film & Digital this year.
For the first time the Television Drama category has been split in order to celebrate home grown dramas as well as the amazing work done internationally and on steaming platforms.
These represents the first nominations for Annika Summerson, Nick Morris and Benedict Spence. This is the seventh nomination for Emmanuel Lubezki, he was previously nominated for Sleepy Hollow (1999), Children of Men (2006), The Tree of Life (2011), Gravity (2013), Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) and The Revenant (2015). This is the fifth nomination for Bruno Delbonnel, he was previously nominated for Amelie (2001), Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (2009), Darkest Hour (2017) and The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021). This is the second nomination for Jody Lee Lipes, he previously won in 2023 for Dead Ringers. This is the second nomination for Ben Wheeler, he previously won in 2022 for The Tourist. This is the second nomination for Diana Olifirova, she was previously nominated in 2018 for her short film, Strange Cities are Familiar. This is the second nomination for Robert Elswit, he was previously nominated for There will be Blood (2007). This is the third nomination for Christopher Ross, he previously won in 2012 for Blackout and was nominated in 2013 for Top Boy. This is the second nomination for Sam McCurdy, he was previously nominated in 2012 for Game of Thrones.
The Television Drama (UK Terrestrial) category is sponsored by Sony and the Television Drama (International/Steaming) is sponsored by MBSE.
In addition to splitting the Television Drama category, the BSC have introduced a Cinematography In A Music Video category to showcase the extraordinary work in this field. This represents the first nominations for Daniel Landin, Jack Hamilton, Henry Gill and Benjamin Cotgrove.
The Music Video category is sponsored by Aputure.
