Jost Vacano becomes honorary AAC member

The German cinematographer Jost Vacano has created an important life’s work.

Based on his famous film Das Boot, he fought for years for the recognition of cinematographers as co-authors and has thereby made a great contribution to our profession.  

On his 90th birthday he was awarded honorary membership of the AAC (Austrian Association of Cinematographers).

AAC Honorary President, Kurt Brazda, presented him with the award at a high-profile Authors Congress in Munich organised by the BVK to honour Jost. He is a great role model for all of us.
