Ovide, a leader in technological solutions for video assist, has announced the global launch of its two new systems: the Smart Assist 12G (featuring an OLED display) and the Smart Assist 3G.
Both units will premiere at the BSC Expo in London.
Key information – provided by Ovide – is available below.
Smart Assist M400 12G: OLED touchscreen and 12G-SDI connectivity
The brand’s new flagship is equipped with the powerful M4 Pro processor and eight GPU cores, enabling the simultaneous recording of up to four 4K cameras (Quad 4K) with ultra-low latency.
It features a 21.5” HDR OLED touchscreen that delivers exceptional quality and precision in colour and contrast.
Despite its impressive performance capabilities, the unit remains surprisingly compact and lightweight, weighing just 10.6 kg.
Additionally, it offers extensive connectivity options, including 12G-SDI, fibre optic connectivity, Ethernet with PoE, and rear mini-displays for clear labelling of video inputs and outputs.
Smart Assist M400 3G: Professional efficiency and versatility

For productions seeking a balance between performance and cost, the Smart Assist 3G is presented as an ideal solution. It features a 21.5” DCI-P3 LCD touchscreen and is powered by the M4 processor with four GPU cores.
The system supports the connection of one 4K camera or up to four HD cameras via 3G-SDI connectivity, and it also includes Ethernet with PoE.
Weighing 11.8 kg, it remains practical and portable. One of the model’s key advantages is its update programme, which allows users who own Smart Assist Evo, Evo+, M100, or M200 systems to upgrade their existing equipment and transform it into this new version.
New firmware update for Ovide Koko
Ovide has released firmware update v1.8 for its Ovide Koko, introducing Live Switching, a feature that is fully compatible with and exportable to Final Cut Pro, Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve.
The update also brings an improved file naming convention to enhance organisation and workflow integration, along with expanded timecode (TC) options designed to meet the demands of professional production environments.
Attendees at the BSC Expo in London will be the first to see and test these units first-hand, where the technical team will conduct live demonstrations of the new processing and display capabilities.
Throughout the rest of the year, these systems will be showcased at several trade shows and industry events around the world.
