Nikon has announced the winners of the Nikon Film and Photo Contest 2024-2025, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious photo and film competitions.
Announced at the awards ceremony held on 12 October, this year’s Grand Prizes, Excellence Awards and Special Encouragement Awards were chosen from entries spanning 180 countries and regions.
The General Public Award was also presented to two outstanding works, decided in a public vote.
The award-winning works will be showcased at exhibitions and screenings in major cities worldwide, as well as at Nikon facilities.
Lead judge Sarah Leen said: “This year’s Inspire theme encouraged a wide range of entries, and the diverse creativity expressed was hugely impressive.
“With many fascinating works received, from beautiful landscapes to portraits, the theme was reflected excellently.
“The Photo Story Category is always the most challenging to judge, especially as photo stories express such complex ideas and emotions without words.
“Yet, that’s what makes it so rewarding. Each entry offered a glimpse into the values and inspirations people hold dear, shared from around the world.”
