In a press release, Manaki Brothers Film Festival added: “There are few cinematographers in the world who have created works that can be considered the pillars of modern cinema–films that will be studied for decades in universities and referenced as benchmarks of cinematic quality.

“Even fewer are those who have collaborated with masters such as Jean-Pierre Jeunet, David Fincher, Bernardo Bertolucci, Michael Haneke, Roman Polanski, Danny Boyle, Neil Jordan, Sydney Pollack, Woody Allen, James Gray, Bong Joon-ho, Wong Kar-Wai, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Ari Aster, and the Safdie brothers, creating unforgettable works of cinema through these collaborations.

“One of them is Darius Khondji–a true aesthete who by all criteria deserves the Golden Camera 300 for his life’s work, continually pushing the boundaries of cinematography and creating unforgettable masterpieces.”

Meanwhile, it was announced that this year’s festival poster was created by the prominent artist Kiro Urdin.

The selectors, Sladjan Penev, Marija Apchevska, Atanas Velkovski, Kumjana Novakova and Hanis Bagashov, also presented the line-up for the main, short, documentary, and student programmes.

The 2025 Manaki Brothers Film Festival will take place in Bitola, North Macedonia, from 20-26 September.
