The International Motor Film Awards are a high profile showcase of talent and the world’s most prestigious event for the automotive film and television industry. The awards celebrate the craft behind the film industry’s biggest stunts, television’s best car commercials and the world’s top automotive documentaries and short films.
The awards night draws creatives and petrolheads alike, as well as celebrities and HNWI’s from the film and motor industries. Winners in previous years include Baby Driver, Ford v Ferrari, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The Grand Tour, and commercials from major car manufacturers. Judging the winners is a jury comprised of notable industry professionals and personalities such as Ben Collins (better known as The Stig), Academy Award winning stunt coordinator Vic Armstrong and television legend and race driver Tiff Needell.
Vince Knight, who founded the awards in 2013 and works as Managing Director said “The International Motor Film Awards have grown to become the ultimate event for adrenaline fuelled action on screen, and I’m thrilled to bring the 10th anniversary to Alexandra Palace with a trade expo attached.”
To celebrate 10 years of delivering the International Motor Film Awards, the organisers have changed venue to offer a completely immersive experience of both Expo and Awards event, all in one place, over one day. The organisers have partnered with SCS Exhibitions to create to create the Expo, with Claire Saunders saying “Myself and the team at SCS Exhibitions are excited to partner with the International Motor Film Awards to bring a trade expo to the awards night using our 25+ years of experience in organising global exhibitions within the film & broadcast industry.”
Held at the legendary Alexandra Palace in London, the International Motor Film Awards and Expo will be taking over the East Court. The trade show will run during the day for guests to network, explore the latest equipment and enjoy seminars with industry professionals. In the evening, the newly restored Victorian Theatre will host the exclusive black tie awards show and banquet to recognise and celebrate directorial and production talent from high end films and commercials, from student and independent productions.
By day – an opportunity to network and see the latest products and services. By night – an evening to honour and celebrate adrenaline-fuelled movies and commercials, heartwarming and inspiring documentaries, and downright outrageously talented work in all categories.
