From the Silver Screen reveal limited-edition necklace for The Phoenician Scheme
Jun 2, 2025
Ethical jewellery brand From the Silver Screen announces a ground-breaking collaboration with Focus Features and visionary filmmaker Wes Anderson: a limited-edition necklace crafted using silver reclaimed from the actual film reels of Anderson’s highly anticipated new film, The Phoenician Scheme, which is a contender to win the Palme d’Or at Cannes this weekend and premiers exclusively in UK cinemas May 23rd
Each necklace features a hand grenade pendant, symbolising a key prop from the film, created using reclaimed silver sourced from microscopic silver halide crystals harvested directly from the celluloid reels used in the movie’s production – making it both literally and metaphorically “a piece of film history.” Due to the finite availability of this unique silver, the release is strictly limited to 400 individually numbered pieces, engraved on the neck of the pendant.
The collaboration originated after From the Silver Screen created a bespoke brooch for Jarin Blaschke, Director of Photography on Nosferatu (also a Focus Features production). After wearing it on the BAFTA red carpet, Focus Features teamed up with FTSS to create something truly special for The Phoenician Scheme, with Wes Anderson personally approving the collaboration and design.
“Wes Anderson is synonymous with meticulous visual storytelling, and this collaboration transforms that signature style into wearable art with genuine cinematic provenance,” said Natalie Daniels, co-founder of From the Silver Screen.
About ‘From The Silver Screen’ – From the Silver Screen was founded in 2023 by film industry professionals Natalie Daniels and Claire Richardson, after working alongside Kodak at Pinewood Studios led to the revelation that the silver harvested as a by-product of traditional film processing—was being re-used in the silver trade, but stripped of it’s cinematic significance.
“That was our lightbulb moment,” said Daniels. “We asked ourselves—what if that silver could retain its story? What if film lovers could literally wear a piece of their favourite movie?”
With support from Cinelab Film & Digital, the founders developed a proprietary process to ethically reclaim, refine, and reforge silver into sterling jewellery, handcrafted in London’s historic Hatton Garden. Every piece is hallmarked at the Goldsmith’s Company Assay Office and stamped with the brand’s signature, certifying both quality and origin.
While the brand has released pieces from other film productions, this is believed to be the world’s first jewellery collection with fully traceable silver provenance to a single film title—fusing sustainable design with cinematic storytelling.
The collection is available exclusively via www.fromthesilverscreen.co.uk and select boutique retailers from May 23rd to coincide with the film’s UK release.
The Phoenician Scheme is in UK cinemas May 23, and in US theaters beginning May 30 in NY/LA and nationwide on June 6, 2025.
