Loop Talent, a leading United Kingdom Head of Department Agency, announces an exciting addition: the globally acclaimed Denson Baker ACS NZCS.

Baker, hailing from New Zealand and of Māori heritage, is celebrated for his remarkable cinematography showcased across feature films, music videos, documentaries and commercials.
His recent work includes: feature film The Colour Room starring Phoebe Dynevor and Matthew Goode; the award-winning BBC TV series The Luminaries featuring Eve Hewson and Eva Green; and the SKY TV series Domina with Kasia Smutniak, Claire Forlani and Isabella Rossellini.
Baker’s talent has also graced projects such as: Ophelia with Daisy Ridley and Naomi Watts; Measure of a Man with Donald Sutherland, Judy Greer and Luke Wilson; and the popular UK TV series Victoria series II. Notably, Baker served as director of photography on re-shoots of the Academy Award-winning film Get Out, setting the tone with an unforgettable opening scene.
Honoured with the 2021 Cinematographer of the Year Award by the Australian Cinematographers Society awards, Baker is accredited by both the Australian Cinematographers Society (since 2005) and the New Zealand Cinematographers Society (since 2015).
This new signing stands alongside the hugely successful DOP, Production Designer, Costume, Make Up, Editor, Line Producer, Assistant Director, and Intimacy Coordinator list. Notable clients include Production Designer Declan Price (A Bit of Light – Stephen Moyer, Matriarch – Ben Steiner, Kindling – Connor O’Hara), Costume Designer Cathy Prior (Derry Girls, Sexy Beast, Stay Close), Emmy award-winning Hair and Make Up Designer Frances Hounsom (Magic Mike’s Last Dance, The Rising, The Tattooist of Auschwitz) and Editor Galina Chakarova (Rain Dogs, Grime Kids).
Other recent signings include RTS-nominated Hair and Make-up Designer Natalie Pateman, whose diverse array of projects spans courtroom dramas and captivating period productions like the BAFTA-nominated BBC Ghosts. Natalie’s most recent endeavour includes the hotly anticipated adaptation of The Marlow Murder Club.
Baker’s lens has traversed the globe, showcasing his ability to adapt and excel in diverse cultures and terrains. His projects have graced major international film festivals, leaving an indelible mark on audiences at Sundance, Cannes, Toronto, Venice, Tribeca, Clermont-Ferrand, Berlin and LA.
