
François-Henri Pinault, chairman of Kering, alongside Iris Knobloch, president of the Festival de Cannes, and Thierry Frémaux, the festival’s general delegate, have presented the 2026 Women In Motion Award to actress and author Julianne Moore.
The award, presented in Cannes since 2015, celebrates female artists whose careers and commitment have “advanced the role of women both in cinema and in society”.
The Emerging Talent Award was also presented to Italian filmmaker Margherita Spampinato, with the prize recognising a female director for her first feature film, accompanied by a €50,000 grant to support the creation of the laureate’s second feature project.
For this 11th edition, Kering and the Festival de Cannes welcomed members of the Festival jury, Park Chan-wook, Demi Moore, Chloé Zhao, Ruth Negga, Laura Wandel, Diego Céspedes, Isaach De Bankolé, Paul Laverty and Stellan Skarsgård, alongside the Un Certain Regard jury.
They came together to celebrate the awardees, joined by distinguished guests including Salma Hayek Pinault, Isabelle Huppert, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Colman Domingo, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Rami Malek, Harris Dickinson and Han So-hee.
Other guests in attendance included Vicky Krieps, Charlotte Le Bon, Sebastian Stan, Géraldine Nakache, Odessa A’zion, Pierre Niney, Barbara Pravi, Vassili Schneider, Arthur Fils, Carla Bruni, Alex Lutz and Laure Calamy.
