
The Royal Television Society has announced the nominations for the RTS Student Television Awards 2026, supported by 4Skills – Channel 4’s nationwide training and development programme.
Hosted this year by TV and radio presenter Remel London, the winners will be unveiled at a ceremony set to take place on Friday 12 June at the IET, Savoy Place.
The 24 categories represent the “exceptional standard of audiovisual work and skills from students across the UK at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels”, the RTS explained, with 23 institutions nominated this year.
Across the Postgraduate categories, the National Film and Television School led the way with eight nominations, receiving two of three nods in the Drama, Entertainment and Comedy Drama, and Factual – Long Form categories.
The University of the West of England also garnered the majority of nominations for the Postgraduate Saving the Planet category, as did City St George’s, University of London for the Postgraduate Journalism category.
The Craft Skills categories for Camerawork, Editing, Production Design, Sound and Writing will be announced during the ceremony.

“It’s a great testament to their skills and talent to be found across the whole country. Each year the students’ entries exceed our expectations in quality.
